Pakistan made a winning start to the ODI tri-series. They beat Sri Lanka by 37 runs in the first match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Salman Agha was the star of the show. He scored 107 runs and led Pakistan to a strong total. His innings had clean hitting and smart running between the wickets.

Babar Azam made 45 runs. He looked in good form but could not carry on. Saad Baig made his ODI debut for Pakistan in this match.

Sri Lanka tried hard in the chase. But Pakistan’s bowlers kept taking wickets at key moments. Shaheen Afridi led the attack well as captain.

The win gives Pakistan early momentum in the series. The team will now look to build on this result in the coming matches.
