October is the busiest month for new phones this year. Apple’s first foldable phone is landing alongside a wave of Chinese flagships. Buyers planning a holiday purchase have plenty to wait for.
Oppo will follow with its Find X10 series on 21 October. With five major launches in three weeks, October 2026 may go down as the busiest phone month in years. Reviewers will be busy testing them all.
The iPhone Duo is expected in the United States and more than 70 countries around 16 to 23 October. It carries a price of 1,999 dollars. The Vivo X Fold 6 launched in early October, and the OnePlus 16 arrived in China on 12 October.

Bigger batteries, sharper cameras
One trend stands out. Every Android flagship on the list ships with a battery of 7,000mAh or more. Many also pack a 200MP main camera. For comparison, many current phones still sit around 4,000 to 5,000mAh.
Chinese brands have moved to silicon-carbon batteries, which store more energy in the same space. That is why the numbers keep climbing. Longer battery life is now a key selling point.
Budget options too
It is not all flagships. The NUU N10 Plus launched on 15 October for just 169.99 dollars. It runs Android 16 with a 50MP camera and a 5,000mAh battery. TECNO launched its Spark 50s 5G in India on 16 October.
With so many launches in three weeks, prices on older models are likely to drop. Shoppers may find good deals if they wait for the holiday sales.
